“This is a very, very popular ice cream in Mexico,” says Alexa Perez, the founder and CEO of Mexico’s most popular ice creamer brand, Pampanga.
“We have our own brand of Pampagas, and the Pampagna family is known for its flavors.”
Perez says the family started with the Pampa, a family-owned company, and then launched a rival brand, the Papa.
Perez says she’s heard from customers in Mexico who are planning to switch to Pampagnas because of the company’s quality.
Pampagne, which started out selling ice cream and other foods, has expanded to include ice cream sandwiches, as well as a variety of sauces and desserts.
Perez also says her company’s Mexican ice cream is more expensive than Pampango’s, because it uses organic, unprocessed ingredients and is more affordable.
In terms of taste, Perez says Mexico has a unique combination of flavors, which makes Pampangas “the best ice cream we have.”
A Pampanica ice cream truck will be set up in the Mexican capital, Mexico City, for the first time in 2018, Perez told me.
The company says its Pampangea brand, which launched in 2007, has become the number one ice cream brand in Mexico, with more than 4 million customers.
The brand now has more than 2,500 stores in more than 70 countries.
