A woman is being hailed as an ice creamer hero after she called herself an Ice Cream Vendor to her boyfriend.
The ice cream shop in Parma, Pennsylvania, said on Facebook that the woman had taken a cab and had driven to the store when she was approached by a man who asked if she could “put a few extra bucks on the ice cream” for him.
“He offered her a few bucks to put a few ice creams on the counter, but she refused to do that,” the shop’s Facebook post said.
The man asked her to put the money in his hand and told her to open the freezer, so she complied.
“We then started chatting and I started telling him what kind of ice cream he had and what kind I like,” the post said, adding that the man later “just left and didn’t even say hello.”
A post shared by Parma Ice Cream (@parmaicecream) on May 10, 2018 at 9:25pm PDTThe man eventually returned and began to ask more questions about the ice cream, prompting the woman to leave the store, the post continued.
“After she left the store and got out of the car, he approached her and told me he wanted to know where I was from, and I said I didn’t know anything about it.
He then started to make me feel uncomfortable,” the woman said.
She was later escorted to a different store and was asked to put more money in the ice machine.
The post ended with the woman thanking the boyfriend for giving her the ice.
“I’m not sure how I feel about this, but I think the ice is a great way to get people to stop making stupid assumptions about people,” the user wrote.
